Can't Hide Things Anymore

So, last night, I fed the kids before BD got home from work. On his way home, he picked up chinese food for us for dinner. I knew we had to hide it from the kids or they would want Egg Drop Soup. This would be fine, except right before bed. Way too many liquids if you know what I mean. So, we sent them upstairs to brush their teeth and watch a movie while we ate dinner.

So, anyway, fast forward to this morning. PM opens the fridge to get out his milk for breakfast and sees the big container of soup. He says, "Is that Egg Drop Soup?" He puts his hands on his hips and says, "Were you trying to hide that from me? Did you think I wouldn't see that?" BD and I started laughing so hard! Then, DQ walks down the stairs and says, "What's so funny down here, what's all this laughing about?" in a tone that is just as funny.

Those family moments are the moments I cherish...

I was not as smart as PM when I was little. When my parents didn't want to share their M&Ms they would tell me they were L&Ls and I would leave them alone.

I always feel bad when I laugh at them for those things, but aren't kids funny when they don't realize they're being funny?
